Breakfast at hotel and check-out. Meeting with driver for private transfer to Turin.

Arrival and check-in if possible or storage of luggage.

Meeting with English Speaking guide for half day city tour (max. 3hrs). The industrial characteristics of FIAT and the Savoy Princes who came from France have given Turin its own style: long arcades, wide squares, baroque of palaces and churches as well as decorated with stucco and mirrors venerable coffee houses make the city unique. At the beginning we visit the royal hunting lock Stupinigi, just outside the center. This splendid palace was built in 1729 and consists of a huge elliptical hall from which four arm-shaped buildings are built (Stupinigi is only one of several Savoyer residences in and around Turin, which in their entirety are under UNESCO protection).

Lunch free.

After lunch, proceed with the visit of Turin city center, starting at the River Po, which flows through the city. You will walk along baroque facades of the house, protected from the sun and rain by arcades, to the Palazzo Reale - the ancient residence of the Savoy. There is also the Palazzo Madama, a former fortress on the remains of a Roman city gate, and the Cathedral of S. Giovanni Battista. In the Chiesa di San Lorenzo you can see a copy of the well-known Torino shrine: faithful or not - the history and the myth of the cloth are impressive for every visitor. Along the Via Roma, we continue to the Piazza San Carlo (just one of many wonderful places within the city center), running under arcades and accompanied by exquisite boutiques. The Caffè Torino is synonymous with elegance, refinement and service at the highest level. Since its opening in 1903, the Torino has been the meeting point of the Turinese citizens' diet, which still lingers here today for coffee, aperitif and for lunch and dinner. We are expecting a "Bicerin", the typical hot drink of espresso, cocoa and milk, accompanied by a Gianduiotto (a fine chocolate).

Return to hotel and little time to freshen up.

Day 3:                      TURIN – ASTI - MONFERRATO AREA

Breakfast at hotel. Meeting with driver and departure for a full day excursion to Asti & Monferrato area.

Arrival in Asti and meeting with English Speaking guide for a city tour. Asti, the city of art and an important wine-growing center, is worth a visit to discover the medieval palaces and the historic old town. We expect magnificent religious buildings, including the Santa Maria Assunta Cathedral, one of the most important Gothic churches in the region. From the cathedral, we explore the city center and learn how conflicting and influential the past centuries have been the conflicts with Alba, just 30 kilometers away. An interesting remnant of this controversy is the Palio, which has been carried out every year on the third September, and has been handed down since the 13th century. Through the gentle hilly landscape, we arrive at noon to one of the most beautiful and famous grapping of Piedmont, indeed all of Italy: Berta! A guided tour of the beautifully designed complex, past the herbage, into the illuminated cellar, provides us with a good knowledge of grape production. Together we also taste the one or the other noble drop - and what is the best accompaniment? Of course on the spot baked almond amaretti ...

Lunch at local restaurant.

Then we go through the Monferrato, a hillside, which alternately consists of vineyards and forests and is permeated by scattered farms. Almost all of the heights are crowned with castles, towers or ruins. Our goal is a local, privately run winery. The diversity of the landscape is reflected in the multitude of wines from which we taste some. The conclusion of the day is also the highlight! We enjoy a wine tasting at the Cantina and a dinner with Piedmontese specialties - always accompanied by our cordial hosts.

Return to hotel.

Dinner free.

Overnight at hotel.

Day 4:                      LANGHE AREA

Breakfast at hotel. Meeting with driver and departure for a full day excursion to the area of the Langhe.

A highlight here is the highlight of autumn in Piedmont: with a truffle dog and his human companion, we simulate the search for the white gold of Piedmont, the truffle! The very interesting demonstration shows us how the famous "Trifulau" accompanied by their faithful dog transport this treasure of nature from the earth to the light. Afterwards, accompanied by a glass of wine, we also taste some truffles (June is the period of the black truffle).

We will proceed with visit of Alba, the main town of the Langhe, as the surrounding area is called. The landscape and agriculture of the region have helped the city of the "hundred towers" prosperity over the centuries. Even today the economy is firmly linked to the region: Ferrero has its headquarters in Alba. After exploring the heart of Alba, which is still dominated by the defensive towers and the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, we will go on a tour of the hills of the Langhe, rich in Nebbiolo vineyards from whose grapes the famous Barolo Is produced. After the exciting experience of truffles and tasting, our palate is stimulated and we are ready for a delicious farewell dinner in a typical Piedmontese Trattoria. Accompanied by a panoramic view of the vineyards (the Trattoria is impressive on a Langhe crest) we enjoy different appetizers, two main dishes and, of course, a dessert.

Saturated, we return from an exciting day back to hotel.
